Activities
Research
Research is a very
important aspect within the company. A lot of time and energy is put into the
‘in-house’ development of reliable, solid and optimised UV disinfection equipment. We operate at the forefront of
technology and want to deepen and widen our knowledge and understanding of UV.
A better understanding creates better designs. Applied research towards
optimisation of the equipment and new applications of the equipment are
regarded as an ongoing continuous process.
Design
Quality improvement
through technical development in combination with applied research make our
designs innovative and sophisticated. All designs are optimized before the test
phase with computer simulation programme Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) on maximum efficiency and minimal dose spread. This procedure has resulted
in the unique design of a reliable UV disinfection system with optimal
disinfection properties and an above average efficient use of energy.
Production
As a manufacturer of UV equipment we control the complete process from design
until the realisation of a sellable, specialised product. The accent is placed
on water and surface treatment. For the different market sectors we produce a
range of units. Within the water treatment sector there are the drinking water
line (D-series), certified drinking water line (C-series), process water line
(P-series), waste water line (W-series), and swimming pool water line
(S-series). There also is a standard series available for surface treatment.
For air treatment and water/surface treatment that does not fit into the
standard series, bespoke solutions are produced.
Sales
For the national and international markets our products are sold by
dealers, OEM and wholesale companies. The broad range of our equipment has resulted in a large network of
dealers, which are active in different countries and market sectors. Our
products are sold under our own brand as well as private labels. You find our
products in the following sectors: food processing industry,
pharmaceutical, (petro)chemical, agriculture/horticulture, recreation, building industry,
transport, brewery/distillery, drinking water suppliers, recycling & other
water treatment.
Adviser
Through research and
innovative corporate culture we are kept up to date about the latest
developments, techniques and possibilities regarding UV disinfection. As a
result of designing and producing our own products we are very familiar with
the possibilitie of the materials and techniques we use. You
receive professional and practical advice. We think about (creative) solutions,
but never loose site of the efficiency of the equipment.
Memberships
Van Remmen belongs to a number of societies who have an interest in the ongoing development of UV. Through these memberships we want to actively contribute to the market’s progress. Through our membership of inter-branche organisation Aqua Nederland we are intensively involved in the developments within the national and international water market. The IUVA (International UltraViolet Association) and knowledge centre Wetsus memberships keep us up to date about the global developments within the UV-C technology field. Though our association with Wetsus, we continue to discuss and develop the research projects in the water treatment area.
